It was an integral part of the experience. The game was basically built around it and that's part of what helped set it apart from other zombie games.
One of the key selling points of ZombiU when it first released was how it took advantage of the Wii U's two screen experience. Mix in some new additions and you've got a port that manages to narrowly outshine it's Wii U counterpart. While the title's often frustrating issues are still present, it's good ideas still shine through to make for an excellent experience for zombie fanatics. It's a real treat for hardcore zombie fans.
